Can my health insurance plan (Medicare or any other public or private plan) reimburse any of my cash fees?

No, all cash services are designated to be 100% outside of any plan coverage. Your fees enable us to deliver care services well beyond what plans can or will cover or reimburse. So, none of our cash fees may be presented to any plan (public or private) for any reimbursement whatsoever.

Are my fees eligible for employer/tax advantage funding?

Yes, patients’ fees will be eligible for employer/tax advantaged funding such as HSA/FSA/HRA/MSA. Please check with your tax expert and/or plan coordinator for details.

Are you in-network with traditional insurance companies?

When you become a member of my medical practice, you are investing in a program (outside of any insurance plan) that will provide you with benefits beyond of what traditional health insurance would cover or allow for. At the same time, my medical practice will remain opted into Medicare and in-network so that if, at any time, my patients really need plan-covered care I will be able to facilitate it. In other words, my interactions with my patients will not be constrained or subject to insurance restrictions, but if or when you need a plan-covered service, we can provide that to you. 

AM I REALLY ABLE TO text, CALL, video chat, and email with my doctor just by paying my membership fee?

What else is included in my membership fee?

Internal Medicine Services. Our Membership can be paid quarterly, semi-yearly or annually. Patient services with this membership include:

Our Internal Medicine Services include top-quality care for our patients, based on routine medical exams detached from any medical need. We excel on preventing illnesses and effectively mitigating and managing any health conditions, so that our patients can enjoy the best health they can possibly have. Dr. Pettersen’s GI support services are also included.

We encourage our patients to schedule as many appointments as necessary to be proactive with their health. Our practice model allows us to take all the time we need to address all concerns that our patients may have and create a personalized care plan for each one of our patients. Health questions are answered. Health risks are addressed sooner. Illness is better managed.

Our Internal Medicine Services also includes Medical Weight Management/Loss services as part of our comprehensive model of care!

Medical Weight Loss Services. Patients can also choose to subscribe to our Medical Weight Management/Loss service as a standalone service.

I don't see the doctor often, why should I join?

We believe that having a trusting relationship with your primary doctor is important, even if you are healthy.  We offer health coaching to help you continue to improve your health.  Should you ever get sick, we will be there to guide you.

We do recognize that investing in this type of proactive health program does increase upfront costs; however, the benefit of staying as healthy as you can be is priceless over time. Being sick not only affects the quality of your life but can be terribly expensive, especially in the US, due to insurance coverage gaps and the uncertainty of insurance-covered expenses. We hope this investment helps you stay as healthy as possible, so that you can enjoy a full and complete life.

I have Medicare, can I sign up?

Absolutely!  We believe that our services are highly valuable to Medicare-eligible people. Our model of care is outside of what Medicare covers. This model allows us to provide invaluable proactive and personalized care for our patients. Remaining in-network allows us to facilitate plan-covered care whenever our patients need such care. This allows us to easily coordinate your care with your other providers and caregivers.  

Do you accept patients with pre-existing conditions?

Yes.  We accept patients without any limits on pre-existing conditions.  

Do You Manage Chronic Pain?

We do not manage chronic pain with narcotics.

What if I decide to cancel?  

If you decide to cancel, it's easy, you just let us know.  The first three months of your subscription is a non-refundable fee. If you decide to cancel, we will process your request and your refund accordingly.

I own a business, can you help me bring your services to my employees?

Absolutely!  We are happy to partner with you to bring our quality services to your employees and save them time away from work waiting at the doctor's office.  Please contact us if you would like to learn more.

Do you offer telehealth services?

Yes!  Our partner Hint Health uses a platform that will allow us to securely text, video chat and more.  We will always strive to bring you appropriate care in the appropriate way.  If we can use our tele-health services to help save you a trip to the office, we most definitely will.  

What about specialty care?

The great thing about your primary doctor having more time, is that your primary doctor can solve more of your problems. In our lifestyle care model, we can manage the majority of your healthcare needs. My medical practice will remain opted into Medicare and in-network so that if, at any time, my patients really need plan-covered care I will be able to facilitate it. In other words, if or when you need a plan-covered service, we can provide that to you.
